Since taking the ferry is costly, we decided to do the same schooling show back to back.
We all stayed in our same divisions, and opted to do better from the day before.
Marina got 1st place in Hopeful, Sonja 2nd place in Beginner Novice, I got 5th place in Novice.
Sonja on Kegas doing her first Beginner Novice, Marina on Napoleon the pony doing Hopeful, and me on Paelka doing Novice, Jenny at the camera, she felt just too darn tired to ride after our busy week.
All phases are done in the same day.
We all had a great day, weather was perfect..
Marina and the pony were tied for 1st place, she lost by 1 point by her collective marks on her dressage test to break the tie. Sonja finished 4th and I did not place due to a refusal on CX.
We entered Marina on Napoleon, Jenny on Penta and Zoe on Paelka. All did well and won ribbons in their classes...
We had a great day....dressage in the morning, and jumping soon after. The dressage went great for all, Zoe had to ride both test without any practice since she had been in Seattle for 2 weeks and had not been able to ride...she was a great sport and rode well! The second test she had never even studied, we read it out to her and she even got a better score on that one!
Penta went to his first show! He was very well behaved!
We got to jump an extra round and that helped tremendously building the horses and riders confidence. The jumps and the whole seen is quite spooky at Stanwood, and in the middle of the field they have huge loudspeakers playing music all day long. And the trains going by...made some of the horses almost jump out of their skin...so it was a very good exposure for them all.
Below is Jenny on Pasabi.
Zoe on Paelka
Amrita on Penta
Sonja on Kegas
Marina on Napoleon
Our whole team got a ribbon!
Jenny got a 5th place at Novice with Pasabi, Zoe got a 3rd place in Beginner Novice on Paelka, Amrita got a 2nd place in Beginner Novice on Penta, Sonja got a 7t place at Hopeful with Kegas and Marina got a 4th place in Hopeful on Napoleon.
We are signed up for a schooling show in Stanwood, and went to school the day before the show at Sunset park.
Marina rode the pony Napoleon, Sonja rode Kegas, Zoe rode Paelka, Jenny rode Pasabi and I rode Penta.
We took 4 Tekes and a pony to the pre-fair jumping classes last Friday.
Sonja rode Kegas, Zoe Paelka, Jenny Penta and me Paktaly.
We did not know that in 4-H you are not allowed to jump in a hackemore, And that is what Sonja and Kegas are using, so they were not eligible for ribbons. They did have very good rounds and would have been in the ribbons...
Napoleon the pony and Marina did great, Marina's first show ever! They got 2 ribbons and the jumior high score overall!
Zoe and Paelka got placings, and we were tied in Gambler's choice! And had a jump off!
Penta did great...his first show, and his entry got mixed up, instead of jumping the 2'4 class they put him in the 3'' class!
And he got a ribbon in that class!
Paktaly was great, and we got the high score senior overall!
