Phil and Margot Case (pcase@cfw.com) were
the first Americans to import Akhal-Tekes to the U.S. In 1979
they imported SENETIR, followed in 1980 by OLIVA. SENETIR and OLIVA were
purchased at the Moscow auction in September, 1978. Phil and Margo started
their breeding program, and in1982 they started the Akhal-Teke Association
of America. They have competed with their horses at higher levels,
especially 3 day eventing.
Following is a compilation of their achievements:
- Sixty-one (61) foals. Thirty-one (31) half-breeds and thirty (30)
purebreds.
- Thirty-two (32) trained for competition in eventing, dressage, jumpers
or endurance riding as of 1997.

- Of the thirty-two(32) entered into training for competition, twenty-nine
(29) went on to successfully compete, twelve (12) of which competed
at the upper levels.
- Forty-eight percent (48%) of SENETIR'S offspring competed successfully
in many disciplines and twenty percent (20%) of SENETIR'S offspring
competed at the upper levels in their chosen discipline.
