virtually unknown in the west but it is one of the fragments resulting
from the breakup of the old USSR and it borders on Iran. To Akhal-Teke
horseowners, however, the country is known as the cradle of the early
horse breeds, possibly dating as far back as at least 6000BC or even

I had decided to go to the
4th Annual Akhal Teke Conference in Ashgabat, and with a
month left to go I thought I had plenty of time to get things organized...the
short version of the story is that I got my passport back 3 days before
I left, I now have some gray hair, but everything worked out.... |
