 We ride a lot in the front pasture in the summer...grids, cross country...and a great way for the kids to learn to canter in big wide open spaces...

You can see the video here: http://youtu.be/pLc32Pob05s Orissa is here again for the summer, she works at the Friday Harbor Labs, and in the few spare minutes she has she comes and rides, sometimes a young horse, or a horse who did not get used yet that day,...but her favorite is Paelka...         It's fun teaching horses to jump different objects...not hindered by a rider they gain confidence fast...     Today Mia and Seda worked on their jumping style and cross country positions...          We wanted to swim with he horses...it's been really hot...and the day we picked to go to the beach...yes..it was COLD!!! Still,... we had fun...but the water was too cold to swim in... Even Jenny's brother and family were game...    Our youngest student Nakayla...sitting on the back with Seda...    Here some of my favorites..       And then there is the gold....Jenny washed Guliie for this occasion...      We entered Marina on Napoleon, Jenny on Penta and Zoe on Paelka. All did well and won ribbons in their classes...                We give all our trails names, so we have a reference where we are going or have been... This trail in particular is rough at the start...but breathtaking at the end...                |
