We have been invited again for the horse celebrations in Ashgabat.
We went to the exebtion hall where there were some vendors from other countries, like Zaldi saddles from Spain and Royal Sports bridle work from India.
And a huge display of all the Turkmen art.
The art and carpets and decorated bridle work is for me such a feast for the eye!!!
They had students working on little horse statues and a row of old men making the decorated horse tack.
Painters and carpet makers...and outside the circus horses were stabled and doing a little performance.
We met up with our frien Nancy who has been visiting TM for two weeks.
Apparently we missed the call for lunch, and got on a bus to another lunch at Altyn Yulduz, then we accompanied Nancy to where her friend works teaching English to young eager students, they had a little party for the new addition of their school.
We were so upraised to see this picture on the wall!!!
Jenny and I walked back to our hotel.
Always an adventure. It is easy to find your way in Ashgabad since there are the mountains to navigate by and the buildings...
Here is our hotel on the left and a new hotel on the right...the Asian Games are going to be held in Ashgabad.
